The best time of year to take this road trip is during the dry season, when the roads are at their best and the wildlife is most abundant. Throughout the journey, you will have the chance to explore Amboseli National Park, a paradise of lush savannah, herds of elephants, and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Tarangire National Park is also a must-see, with a diverse array of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and lions. The final stop is Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a volcanic crater at its heart. Be aware that some of the roads along the route are only accessible with 4WD vehicles and may be narrow in places, so you should take extra care when driving.
