From Front Royal to Waynesboro on Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park. This route is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the eastern U.S. and the nature experience is second to none. Especially if you manage to visit the park outside the peak travel season. Be sure to plan at least one overnight stay along the way to enhance the experience. At the southern end, Skyline Drive meets the equally attractive Blue Ridge Parkway. Reason enough to continue the drive.
