Indonesia Road Trip Itinerary

The Indonesia Road Trip is a great way to explore the country! Starting in Jakarta, the route takes you through Bandar Lampung, Jambi, Ujungtanjung, Pematang Siantar, Samosir Island, Sibolga, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Lumajang, Denpasar, Ubud, Singaraja and back to Jakarta. It is a distance of 7051 km and it is recommended to take 40 days to complete the trip. The best time to drive is during the dry season, from April to October. You will be able to witness beautiful landscapes and visit UNESCO Heritage Monuments on the route. However, keep in mind that the roads can be partly curvy and narrow, and the overall road conditions are poor. Despite this, the Indonesia Road Trip is suitable for every driver and can be managed with a low budget.
